The US actress, Michelle Trachtenberg, who rose to fame as a child star in the 1990s and 2000s, was found “unconscious and unresponsive” on Wednesday morning. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Police in Manhattan who rushed to the spot on receiving an emergency call. She was 39.
Michelle Trachtenberg portrayed ‘Dawn Summers’, a fictional character created by Joss Whedon and introduced by Marti Noxon and David Fury on the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which was appreciated and wholeheartedly received by the audience. For her role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she was nominated for several acting awards – including a Daytime Emmy Award.
Later, she took on the role of manipulative socialite Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl as an adult. Her film debut was in 1996, the film being Harriet the Spy.
Trachtenberg got her start in acting at age nine on the Nickelodeon television series The Adventures of Pete & Pete. She also starred in films including EuroTrip, Ice Princess, Killing Kennedy, and Sister Cities.
Dedication to the work, care to her friends and co-workers are her personal qualities admired by all.
Her last major acting role was in 2021 as the host of a true-crime docuseries Meet, Marry, Murder, which appeared on digital streamer Tubi.
