പ്രമുഖ ചരിത്രപണ്ഡിതനും അദ്ധ്യാപകനും എഴുത്തുകാരനുമാണ്‌ പ്രൊഫ. എം.ജി.എസ്. നാരായണൻ എന്ന മുറ്റയിൽ ഗോവിന്ദമേനോൻ ശങ്കരനാരായണൻ അന്തരിച്ചു.കോഴിക്കോട് മലാപ്പറമ്പിലെ വസതിയിലായിരുന്നു അന്ത്യം. ഇന്ന് വൈകിട്ട് മാവൂര്‍ റോഡ് ശ്മശാനത്തില്‍ സംസ്കാരച്ചടങ്ങുകൾ നടക്കും. എം.ജി.എസ്. നാരായണൻ, 1932 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 20 നു്‌ പൊന്നാനിയിൽ ജനിച്ചു .മദ്രാസ് ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ കോളേജിൽ നിന്ന് ചരിത്രത്തിൽ ഒന്നാം റാങ്കോടെ ബിരുദാനന്തരബിരുദം നേടി. കോഴിക്കോട് ഗുരുവായൂരപ്പൻ കോളേജിൽ അദ്ധ്യാപകനായി ജോലിചെയ്തു.1973 ൽ കേരള സർ‌വകലാശാലയിൽ നിന്ന് പി.എച്ച്.ഡി കരസ്ഥമാക്കി. 1970 മുതൽ 1992 ൽ വിരമിക്കുന്നതു വരെ കാലിക്കറ്റ് സർ‌വകലാശാലയിലെ സോഷ്യൽ സയൻസ്...
