In a press release emailed by Prabhu Siddhartha Guptara-ji ,the 5th edition of The Yearbook of English Poetry in English—i.e., the Yearbook for 2024, will be published, as was the 5th edition, by Pippa Rann Books (an imprint of Salt Desert Media Group Ltd., U.K.).
The deadline for submissions is the close of business in India on March the 31st, 2025.
The annual Yearbook carries a selection of the best work published in the relevant year by poets of Indian origin or Indian heritage wherever in the world they happen to live.
Poems by poets of Indian origin or heritage, published during 2024 in any book, anthology, or magazine, whether online or in print, may be submitted.
For the previous edition there were over 800 submissions – from which roughly 25% were chosen for publication. The selection is conducted anonymously to ensure fairness and inclusivity. A panel of distinguished poets and literary world review the submissions without knowing the authors’ identities. The review committee includes members from various backgrounds and age groups as the Yearbook aims to reflect the vibrant diversity of Indian society.
The Committee for the 2024 Yearbook will be announced as soon as possible. The Founder/ Editors Sukrita Paul Kumar and Vinita Agrawal continue to edit the Yearbook.
